thank you for your revised version.
I intend to touch on this topic in our next meeting:
"We intend to find correlations and contradictions between theory and field research and work on them more closely. Does what works in theory also work in “real life”? Is theory practised in “real life”? Can there be done more for the non-integrated part of society? "
If you have time, reflect on what theory means for you? In fact, theory is often considered as "non-real life".
Another way of looking at theories is to consider them as ordering devices, eveglasses that help to see certain aspects of reality. If you do not have the word "polarisation" can you see it? If you do not have the word "injustice", can you feel it? Therefore, it mattes which concepts are used in tackling problems. Normally, non-theoreticians use those concepts adequate for their field. Probably, our field research will verify this. Bridge-building is an activity that enlarges the preception of problems, that perceives new problems or problematizes reality in a different way. Bridge-building might happen due to the simple fact of using concepts that are relevant in different contexts, and not only one (knowledge economy or social polarisation)
thank you
